Although there are different theories about how do you market your own article using twitter, some said that it’s a bad idea to market directly using an affiliate link.

But this is may be because they are not new to twitter. If you are new to twitter you will be probably convinced to click those fancy links. You cannot compare the experience of a newbie to a pro. That’s why sometimes they are so many arguments on the internet.

So it’s up to you to determine and decide whether your reader belongs to what category or group of people.

The Hard Work

While it is true that you can grab traffic out of twitting people, the disadvantage of using this service is it’s too hard to maintain relationship with your reader. You need to take more time compare with other method of generating traffic.

Even if it is 160 character per post but you need also to tweet a lot of people to stand out from the crowd. Although I don’t recommend you to spend much of your time using this service, using it accordingly over time may be you will get some readership also directed to your web site.

I suggest you tweet once a day so you will not burn out using this service. Just focus on the quality of your article and the traffic will come in as you go along.  Twitting can be considered a sideline.

Forum is just like a question and answer conversational type of encounter. You can ask question and at the same time answer question. The benefit from doing this is that you can put a signature after your message.

Mistake to Avoid

Be sure though that it is allowed because you will get banned if you don’t follow rules. Don’t be too deceptive also when you write your signature. Say something like “Download Free Source Code” with a hyperlink within those words. Never post ads in forum to avoid being banned.

Be Controversial

Talk something controversial to attract more reader. This way you can start getting traffic right away. Any person would like to talk controversial topic.

Reading comments from others will also improve your knowledge about the subject matter. If you can share something useful then don’t hesitate to tell them. If they realize that you were right they will certainly visit your site.

Quote from other blogger like “Mark said that he earns decent income through blogging”. Give complements to other members and send some “hi” or tell them that you really like reading their posts.

Be friendly

Every human would like to become social so they go to forum and share their ideas. Most of them do not know that some of us are making money because of them. So grab this opportunity.

When somebody approaches you with unpleasant behavior don’t be too defensive. Instead give him/her some good point. May be they have a service that could help you if you turn opponent into friends.

Conclusion

You do not need to post everyday in forum. When I examined Google Analytics, I found that only one person has referred my article and it brings traffic every day. Only join a forum that has a lot of members or visitors. Don’t waste your time posting topic with least visitors or unrelated subject in your niche.
