Choose Your Niche

I attributed much of the success of my website (www.sourcecodester.com) as a blogger to being writing in my own discipline in the right field. Before you decide on the domain that you are going to buy be sure to choose first the topic that you are passionate about. Meaning looking at where’s your potential belongs to. If you are blogging in the wrong niche it would be very hard for you to maintain your blog.

In this example, because I am a programmer I decided to share my expertise to other programmer. I upload all of my source code so other programmers may benefit from it. So I bought a domain which is related to my niche. www.sourcecodester.com has the words “source code” so that readers may think even without visiting my site that I am hosting a website containing source codes.

On the other hand www.moneytalksonline.com talks about money matters on the internet, that’s why I bought this domain. I don’t know what you are planning to write in your blog but it’s up to you on what domain you are going to buy.
